Services - Witness Familiarisation

What is Witness Coaching?
This involves telling the witness what to say in the witness box. That is illegal and we will not get involved with that kind of activity.

What is Witness Familiarisation?
This is legal. It involves, preparing a nervous or un-accustomed or even a seasoned witness to present a true testimony of his/her case. This will assist the Court and all parties.

The case may be well prepared from the documentation point of view.

The advocate can be the best in the world but statistically it has been proved that many trials have been won or lost because of witness performance or rather a lack of it!

A witness has to bring out the facts and issues of a case in a way that is convincing to the Judge (or jury) when they give their evidence.

They have to refer to documents or events or people's faces, sometimes going back years, and they have to draw out the information in a convincing way.

The Judge (or jury if there is one) will only be convinced if the witness appears reliable is well turned out and can not be shaken as to events or issues.

How can we assist you?
From our experience, we can assist by going through a number of elements which will put you at ease so you can give your testimony in a cool, clear and calm manner. These will include:

Taking you on a London Court visit - preferably the one you are due to attend.

  • Knowing your witness statement thoroughly
  • Appropriate dress for attending court
  • Mode of speech
  • Eye contact
  • Dealing with the judge
  • And many other details

How much will it cost? Single fee £350.
How do I pay?

You can pay by emailing us the Enquiry Form and we will ring you back and send you later full interim details. After payment all other documents will be released to you. We are currently looking at ways to enable secured online methods such as paypal and other service providers.

What will I get?

After payment has been confirmed we will:

-Send you our briefing document to pre-read

-Meet you for two sessions of one hour each at a mutually convenient place.

-Take you on a court visit, preferably, at the court which you are due to attend
