Very brief overview.

We will have to be certain that you are not eligible for Public Funding. If you are we will not see you. We are also required by law to carry out Money Laundering Checks on you.

We will then discuss funding options, do a conflict check and will discuss with you, in very broad outline your case. Based upon the information and explanations you have given us we will be able to give you an estimate of costs.

This will then be regularised in writing by way of a Retainer letter and we will seek payment on account never exceeding £500 and of course we will confirm this with you.

If the matter becomes protracted or you did not give us the full picture, and this subsquently leads to additional work then we will only proceed with your express written authority.

We have a complaints procedure and will give you details of this and ask that you follow it so we may resolve our differences. If it not resolved we will give you full details of where you may go next. We will send you regular reports on the case including costs updates.

We will send interim bills signed by us as the case progresses. Once the case has finished we will send you our bill for settlement. If any money is due to you of course we will account to you for it. After you have settled our bill in full for any outstanding fees we will send you a Disengagement letter and return your original papers.
