1:      WHAT FIXED FEE SERVICE DO YOU PROVIDE?
Glad that you asked that. Preparing a document, answering your question on a matter of law or practice, preparing a briefing document, giving assistance on witness familiarisation, assessing an aspect of your case, letter preparation and guidance. See links to Services and Charges. Remember with our "Fixed Fee" service you know exactly what you will get, how much it will cost and when you will get delivery. We guarantee there will be no further letters stating that the fee has gone up.

2:      WHAT MAKES YOUR SERVICE SO DIFFERENT?
We believe that our clients want a quick and reliable service knowing upfront what they have to pay with no additional bill after that. There is no need to send reminder letters and waste time chasing delivery. You will get what you seek with comfort and ease. It greatly assists in reducing stress.

3:      WHAT IS A BRIEFING NOTE?
This is a document giving you guidance on the laws and issues which you must bear in mind. You may want to start a claim in a County Court. You may want to sue your previous solicitor for negligence or challenge non-fixed fees. These notes will give you guidance on what to do. See Briefing Note.

4:      WHAT IS - ASK A LEGAL QUESTION?
If you ask a specific question and give us some of the facts of your matter we will reply and send you a Briefing Note as well. See Ask a Question.

5:      WHAT IS - GUIDANCE ON WRITING LETTERS?
You know that Solicitors spend a lot of their time writing letters. Whether it is a complaint to the next door neighbour regarding noise or anti-social behaviour, or a letter to tell your ex- to go away and not to give you hassle and turn up at your workplace or you will seek a Court Order against him and remind him that he will have to pay your costs. Whatever. These are just a few. If you are looking for a specific letter, please email us and we will get back to you. You will also get a Completion Note which explains how to fill in and finalise the letter. See Letter Writing.

6:      WHAT IS - A PRECEDENT DOCUMENT?
We have put together certain standard agreements for you to use and amend to suit your circumstances. To name a few, Standard Will, Co-habitation Agreement, Separation Agreement, Partnership Agreement, General Power of Attorney and much more. If you are looking for a specific document, please email us and we will get back to you. You will also get a Completion Note which explains how to complete the document. See General Precedent.

7:      WHAT IS - SOLICITOR FULL SERVICE?
Glad that you asked. If you instruct us on a full service basis to represent you at Court or prepare a Specific Document, there are a certain number of processes we have to go through before we can formally accept you as our client we have a number of processes to go through. You have to make an appointment to see us and we have to be assured that you are aware of Solicitors who do Public Funding work (which we do not do). After that we have to carry out conflict and money laundering checks as well. We have to assess your case and give guidance on costs (yours and the other side if you lose the case), and discuss how much deposit we will accept. After all that we have to send you an Engagement Letter (or Retainer Letter or Terms of the Business) setting out who will deal with your case and explaining the Complaints Handing Procedure if anything goes wrong. That is just the start. During the case we have to give you updates and meet you from time to time. At the end of the case (weeks or months or years) we have to deal with the final bill and return your papers with a Disengagement Letter if the bill is paid in full. You can see this is a very time-consuming process for someone seeking quick advice on an aspect of law or seeking a legal document, say a "standard partnership agreement". See Full Service.

8:      HOW CAN YOU ASSIST ME WITH MY CASE?
We can assist by giving you what assistance you need, plus you get peace of mind that we will deliver. We will assist in preparing as much of the process and court documents as you want us to do. We will explain these to you in a non-nonsense guide. But remember we can only prepare the particular document from the factual information and explanations you send us. Remember-only you know the full facts of your matter or case.

9:      URGENT FILING?
Don't leave your matter to the last moment. Try and take charge of your matter as early as possible and know the issues. See Terms & Conditions.

10:      WHY PAY AS YOU GO?
This is a great question. You know exactly what fee you are paying and you know what you will get in return, and by when. Also there are no further bills to follow. We believe that this greatly reduces the stress involved. See Charges.

11:      WHAT IS REPRESENTATION AT COURT?
We will deal only with those full service clients who instruct us to act for them in their matter beyond preparing process documents, or answering a question or writing a letter or preparing a precedent. See Full Service.

12:      OPPONENT HAS LAWYERS AND I HAVE PAPER
Good question. The court must give effect to what you have on paper and must not penalise you because you are representing yourself. That's a new way they are working to give effect to the overriding objective namely to do justice between the parties. The other side cannot take advantage of you either.

13:      DO I HAVE TO SEEK YOUR ASSISTANCE AGAIN?
No. But we feel certain that with our quick and relliable delivery policy you will choose to. If you want to see us again for further advice then it is up to you. But re-check the Terms & Conditions document to see if it has been updated.

14:      WHAT ARE SOLICITORS CONDUCT RULES?
These are rules set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for us to follow. We cannot advise you to undermine this since it would be totally wrong. You must work and present your case in accordance with evidence and the law. If a Solicitor breaches conduct rules then he can be in serious problem with The Law Society and indeed the Court since he is an Officer of the Court.

15:      I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OTHER SOLCITORS.
If you want us to assist just ask. But in all fairness, please follow their Complaints Procedure first.

16:      WILL A SOLICITOR ASSIST?
Yes. Only a qualified Solicitor will assist. See question 7 above.

17:      ARE YOU AN INSOLVENCY PRACTITIONER?
The Solicitor Principal studied and has successfully completed a specialist Insolvency Examination but he is not an Insolvency Practitioner.

18:      WHAT IS YOUR QUALITY OF WORK LIKE?
We believe above average. Try us and you will see for yourself.

19:      CAN I MEET THE SOLICITOR?
If you are instructing us on a fixed fee basis then there is no need for us to meet, as all the transactions are dealt with by emails and occasionally telephone calls. See Full Service.

20:      CAN I SEND MY PAPERS TO YOU BY THE NET AND PAY ONLINE ?
Yes. You can send your papers to use via the internet and we are currently looking at ways for you to pay on the net, or you can give us your card details on the phone. We guarantee the details you give to us will be held in strict confidence.

21:      WHAT IS CONFIDENTIALITY?
Good question. A Solicitor is obliged to keep the affairs of his clients secret and not to pass information to anyone unless the law says so. If we breach this rule then we can be in trouble with the Solicitor Regulation Authority.

22:      WHAT IF I AM DISABLED AND CANNOT ATTEND YOUR OFFICES?
Glad that you asked that. This service is intended for people house-bound, for whatever reason, and for those who seek quick reliable advice and those busy persons who seek urgent clarification of legal issues where time is important. All you need is access to a computer and a printer.

23:      WHAT IS PUBLIC FUNDING?
This used to be called the Legal Aid Scheme. It is a free service provided by the Legal Services Commission (LSC) and operated by certain Solicitors. You have to qualify to obtain the assistance. This is a means test AND a merit test. The LSC will have a charge on any money recovered or property preserved by using their assistance.

24:      WHAT CAN I DO IF I CANNOT PAY YOUR FEE?
Then seek the services of a Funding Solicitors who has a Funding Franchise.

25:      IS THE SOLICITOR REGISTERED WITH THE LAW SOCIETY?
Yes. The Solicitor must be registered with the Law Society and is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Check us out at
http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law

26:      HAS THE FIRM A COMPLAINTS HANDLING PROCEDURE?
Yes. We are obliged to have this in accordance with rules.

27:      HAS THE FIRM PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE?
Yes. All Solicitors must have this in place before they can give advice to the general public.

28:      HAS THE FIRM A RIGHT OF LIEN ON MY PAPERS?
Yes for unpaid fees.

29:      WHAT ARE THIRD PARTY MONEYS?
This is money coming from a party who is not a party in the case. After a Bankruptcy Order the bankrupt person cannot obtain credit beyond £500.

30:      CAN I DEMAND THAT THE SOLICITOR TAKE INSTRUCTIONS FROM ME?
No. As long as the Solicitor does not discriminate against you on the basis of sexual orientation, race, religion, creed, ability, disability and others.

31:      HOW QUICKLY WILL MY FINISHED WORK BE RETURNED TO ME?
After payment has been received in full within 3 working days by email.

32:      RELATIVE/FRIEND ARRESTED AT A POLICE STATION CAN YOU AS A SOLICITOR ASSIST ME?
Yes. But it is more cost-effective for you to get the Duty Solicitor to help you.

33:      RELATIVE/FRIEND IN PRISON CAN YOU VISIT HIM TO ADVISE?
Yes. But you will have to agree our fees beforehand.

34:      RELATIVE/FRIEND AT IMMIGRATION DETENTION CENTRE CAN A SOLICITOR VISIT HIM TO ADVISE?
Yes. But check if Public Funding will cover this.

35:      WHAT IS SOLICITOR CANCELLATION POLICY?
On a fixed fee assignment once you have asked us to deal with your assignment and we have collected the money there is no right of cancellation or obligation for us to refund any moneys.

36:      WHAT GUARANTEE DO I HAVE ABOUT YOUR SERVICE?
As Solicitors we are duty bound to act honestly and fairly. This is our word and our written guarantee. You can check us out at The Law Society link. See
http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor.law

37:      WHAT IS GENERAL GUIDANCE AND WHAT IS SPECIFIC GUIDANCE?
General Guidance is where we send a document explaining legal and practical matters "generally" and it may relate to your issues. Specific Guidance is where you give us the full facts (dates, names, events, whom said what to whom when and where etc). We then prepare your "specific" document / letter / precedent taking the details from the information and explanations you have given us.

38:      HOW DOES YOUR SYSTEM WORK?

2: You complete and send us by email the enquiry form:See CONTACT.
